Brian Dunkle

Father Brian Dunkle, S.J., originally from New York, is Associate Professor of Theology at Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. He holds degrees from Harvard, Oxford, Fordham, the Gregorian University, and the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, as well as a PhD from the University of Notre Dame. He is the author of Enchantment and Creed in the Hymns of Ambrose of Milan and translator of Gregory of Nazianzus’s Poems on Scripture and Ambrose of Milan’s Treatises on Noah and David. In addition to his teaching and research in early Christianity and historical theology, he offers pastoral assistance at parishes and prisons in the Boston area. He enjoys running (Boston Marathon, 2022) and other sports.
